Community Nursing Home Port Hope has been an established long-term care home for over 30 years, Located in a beautiful, residential community in the Town of Port Hope, a short distance from the 401 and emergency medical services are minutes away at the Northumberland Hills Hospital.

An accredited community since 2000, and licensed by The Ministry of Health, Community Nursing Home Port Hope offers a warm, friendly and home like environment. A true sense of community is established through a dedicated and caring professional team.

Our multi-level home is designed for residents' comfort and provides easy access to all areas. Bedrooms - private and shared - are spacious and attractively decorated and feature en-suite bathrooms. Corridors are wide and accommodating. Residents can socialize and enjoy visits with family and friends in our comfortable lounges and private family room. They can also enjoy a breath of fresh air in our outside garden area, which features raised flowerbeds and a specially designed walking path.

The Home that provides a safe and secure environment where the needs of residents are met using a team approach. Medical, nursing and therapeutic services are available on site 24 hours per day. Residents and families are encouraged to participate in the day to day activities of the home. Residents continue to be involved in the Community by taking part in the Live of Port Hope. Outings into the Community include attending local events of interest and participating in seasonal outings. Annual highlights are our Fall Colors Bus Tour including lunch amongst the colors and our Christmas light Tour to Cobourg and Old Scugog Rd.

Our residents are valued members of our home's team. Our Residents' Council and Family Council provides the opportunity for residents and families to participate in planning and evaluating the services in the home and supports a strong line of communication between residents, family and administration.
